One Alp, every 3 hours, forever.
Alps are a generative avatar art collective for snow and mountain people. Every Alp is equal in rights, generated from on-chain traits, and auctioned to fund the treasury — one Alp, one vote.
How it works
Summary
- Alps artwork is generative and stored directly on Ethereum — not IPFS, not a server.
- One Alp is trustlessly auctioned every 3 hours, forever.
- 100% of auction proceeds go to the Alps treasury.
- One Alp equals one vote in the DAO.
Daily auctions
- The auction house runs a permissionless cycle: each auction lasts 3 hours, and settling one mints the next Alp and starts its auction.
- Bids must clear the 0.08 ETH reserve and beat the current bid by at least 2%. A bid in the final minutes extends the clock.
- Anyone can settle an ended auction — it costs only gas. If an auction ends with no bids, the Alp goes to the Hall of Fame wallet.
Alps DAO
- Alps DAO uses a Compound-style governor: Alp holders vote on proposals that spend the treasury.
- Voting power comes from the Alps you hold at a proposal’s snapshot block, and can be delegated.
- A passed proposal is queued in the timelock before it can execute.
Reward Alps
- For the first 14,600 Alps, every 10th Alp is minted to the Alpers DAO and every other 5th to the Alps Council.
- These Alps skip the auction. They are the reward for creating and stewarding the project.
